What A Relief – It’s Comic Relief!

Staff from OpenContact, Norwich’s leading privately-owned outsource call centre, took on their colleagues worst chores like washing the car and ironing – in a fund raising bid for Comic Relief.

Staff at the outsource call centre carried out these jobs for a £5.00 charge, which went directly to Comic Relief alongside money donated from additional fund raising initiatives such as dress up / down day, cakes and a raffle.

OpenContact’s staff raised £120 for Comic Relief 2009.

Commenting on the fund-raising activities, Fiona Temple, Managing Director said:
“These kind of day-to-day tasks normally don’t raise a smile but we decided to approach them differently and have a laugh while raising money for Comic Relief, and getting our chores done. The added challenge of the day was keeping our red noses in place while ironing and rigorously washing cars!”

OpenContact work for a diverse range of companies and supplies the full range of contact centre and mailing services, from acting as a virtual reception and call centre to data management and fulfilment. Current clients include National Trust, Go-Ape, Christian Aid and LoyaltyBuild.
