OpenContact has replaced it’s usual Secret Santa tradition with a more charitable cause, and donated 18 Christmas Gift boxes and other items to Leeway Domestic Violence Charity, based in Norwich.  Staff donated their own time, money and items to put the boxes together, which was coordinated by Contact Centre Agent Megan Blake.

The boxes were compiled according to the ages of the children that are being supported by the local charity in their refuge this Christmas, ranging from 6 months to 16 years old, and will ensure they have something special to open on Christmas Day.    Two further sacks of additional of items, including extra games, toiletries, bed linen, towels etc, were also gifted.

Michelle Frazer from the charity said she was “over the moon” with the donation, and that it would make a big difference to the families, who sadly often arrive at the refuge with little or no possessions.  Managing Director of OpenContact, Fiona Temple said “I am delighted that my team have chosen to support this Charity, and have been overwhelmed with the effort everyone has gone to to make these boxes so special and well thought out”.
