OpenContact and Go Ape! celebrate 10 years in partnership, and still going strong!

Two East Anglian-based companies commemorate their 10 year business partnership and look forward to another successful decade working together.

OpenContact, the outsource contact centre business and EDP Future 50 firm located on Roundtree Way in Norwich, recently reached 10 years in partnership with Go Ape, the UK’s number one forest adventure company, whose Banana HQ is based in Bury St Edmunds.

The partnership began in 2004 when Go Ape opted to outsource their booking and customer service operation, due to the seasonal nature of their business. Since then, Go Ape have grown exponentially, expanding from one single site in Thetford to 29 courses and a range of activities around the UK, and OpenContact have been with them every step of the way. From handling over 200,000 phone calls a year to managing all customer email traffic, as well as expanding into web-chat conversation this year, OpenContact have been an integral part of Go Ape’s phenomenal success and growth.

Rebecca Mayhew, co-founder and director of Go Ape! said “OpenContact have contributed to Go Ape’s success for the last ten years and we have always enjoyed working with them.  We couldn’t do it better ourselves, the OpenContact team are very much an extension of our own team, delivering an enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable service to our customers.”

The partnership’s prosperity has continued this summer, with Go Ape! call volumes up 14% compared to 2013, which has resulted in OpenContact recruiting 15 new team members in the past month alone.

OpenContact’s business is also sustaining growth outside of the Go Ape partnership, gaining multiple new clients this year, including the QD Group, the regional chain of discount retail outlets who recently launched 2 brand new ecommerce platforms for their QD Stores and Buy Right brands. OpenContact will handle all sales and customer service telephone calls and email enquiries for the platforms.

It is no surprise, then, that OpenContact have seen a 5% growth in sales over the last 12 months, with further growth expected in the near future. Managing Director Fiona Temple said: “We owe our recent successes, in part, to the way in which we conduct our business relationships. We work hard to build partnerships with our clients, immersing ourselves in their organisation, so that we are in the best position to represent their brand when talking to their customers.”

“However, the highest praise has to go to my hard working, loyal, professional and fun-loving team who are pivotal in maintaining and developing those long-term partnerships with our clients through their talent and skills and without whom I’d have no business at all!”

OpenContact are an outsource contact centre business specialising in inbound sales and customer service by phone, email and webchat. They have a diverse portfolio of clients including The View from the Shard, Mattressman, Harrod Horticutural and Signs Express.
