Missed a call? It is a well known fact that 80% of customers will not call back if their call is answered by an answering machine or an engaged tone. If your team are inundated with calls at certain times of the day, or you’re a sole proprietor whose work cannot be interrupted by phone calls, then OpenContact’s UK-based Virtual Receptionist service could be of benefit to you.

How does it work?


Virtual receptionist (VR) services are known by many terms, such as call or telephone answering services, secretarial services, virtual secretary and virtual receptionist amongst others.

Our professional and friendly team members will answer your call, with minimum delay, in your company name. They will advise the caller that you are unavailable, and will take the details of the caller and a message. These details will then be instantly emailed to you, and followed by an SMS message to your mobile, if you so desire. Alternatively, we can also forward the call to you on a landline or mobile, if you are available.

Our Virtual Receptionist service is based in our call centre in Norwich. All our agents are UK-based and work within our call centre answering multi-client calls. Our VR service is not a cheap overseas outsourced service.

How do my VR calls get answered by you?


We can provide you with a dedicated DDI number to point your calls to. These can be calls that overflow to us when you are busy or unavailable, it could be out-of-hours calls, or it could be every single call – the choice is yours, depending on your requirements. In addition, we can also provide UK non-geographic telephone numbers such as 0300, 0345 or 0371.

What times of the day can my calls be answered?


Our Virtual Receptionist service hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 9pm. On Saturdays and Bank Holidays we are open from 8am to 7pm, and on Sundays from 9am to 7pm. We always remain flexible and we are happy to consider clients' requirements that fall outside of these hours.

How quickly can you get started?


We only need a little time to prepare ourselves to answer your inbound VR calls, and could be ready to go in as little as 48 hours.

What else can I expect from OpenContact?


We provide all of our clients with a dedicated account manager as the main point of contact for all of your questions and requirements. We also record 100% of our calls, so if you ever need to hear the call for yourself, it is available on request.
